[dropcap]H[/dropcap] yper-V is a new feature of windows 8. With this feature you can create virtual machines to run other operating systems within Windows 8. With Hyper- V feature, you can run and manage many virtual machines for various versions of Windows or other kind of operating systems. You can set up virtual machines to test applications from other operating systems or run applications that may not be compatible with Windows 8. Unfortunately, Hyper-V requires a certain type of processor to install and may not be compatible with older computers. It is only available in Windows 8 Professional. If you want to run this virtual machine tool, below steps explains you how to install and set up Hyper-V.
First of all check whether your computer meets the system requirements for Client Hyper-V in Windows 8, type MSINFO32 in Run, at the bottom of the output window you will see something below:
VM Monitor Mode Extensions: YES
Virtualization Enabled In Firmware: YES
Second Level Address Translation: YES
Data Execution Prevention Available: YES
If any above Option is “No” in your situation then your machine not capable of running Client Hyper-V.
1 .Open Control Panel:
Now open your desktop. Now display the Charms bar by hover the mouse in the lower right corner of your desktop. Click on the Settings gear button. After that click on control panel at the top of charm bar.

3. See if your PC qualifies for Hyper-V:
In this popup window click the plus sign of Hyper-V feature. To see is you PC qualifies for Hyper-V Hover your mouse over the Hyper-V Platform setting. If it is grayed out, a pop-up message appears that says “Hyper-V cannot be installed: The processor does not have the required visualization capabilities.” In this case, click OK to close the Windows Features screen. If the setting is not grayed out, you can proceed to install step.
4.Install Hyper- V:
Select all Hyper-V check boxes. Then Click OK to install Hyper-V.
5.Restart Your PC:
After Hyper-V installation, if message appears that “Windows completed the requested changes”. Then Click Restart now to reboot your computer.
6.View Hyper-V tiles:
Now open Start screen. New tiles appear for Hyper-V Manager and Hyper-V Virtual Machine if not find out from apps area.
